Debra A. McNair is a lifelong resident of Port Huron and graduated from Port Huron High School in 1972. She attended St. Clair Community College, where she excelled in her studies and majored in Psychology.  To further her studies, she attended Ashland Theological Seminary and studied the Master of Arts in Practical Ministry. In 2000, Debra was licensed and ordained as a minister of the gospel and continues to serve on the Ministerial Board at Restoration Christian Community Church. She has also served as a member to the local Chapter of the NAACP and continued to serve the community as advisor and event planner through her business, La Bellas Wedding Chapel.  Additionally, Debra is the playwright, producer, and owner of New Beginnings Theater Productions, widely known for its theatrical production entitled, “How to Satisfy a Thirsty Woman.” After 29 years, she retired from DTE Energy as a supervisor over Corporate Security and Investigations as well as the Diversity Facilitator where she designed and taught programs throughout the Company. Debra is married to Thomas McNair of 47 years; has two daughters, and six grandchildren.  She looks forward to the opportunity to serve as one of Port Huron’s School Board Trustees.
